Organised Joy collects your personal data when you use this website and in our provision of services to you. This privacy policy helps you understand how Organised Joy collects, uses, protects and otherwise handles your personal data. Personal data is information that relates to an individual. When does Organised Joy collect your personal data?

Organised Joy collects your personal data when you:

  • Contact Organised Joy using the ‘Contact’ page of this website

  • book a free consultation with Organised Joy

  • book an in-person session or package with Organised Joy

This data includes your:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Home address (for in-person sessions only)

How does Organised Joy use your personal data?

  • We respond personally to any enquiries you submit on our ‘Contact’ page.

  • We provide details by email, text message, WhatsApp messenger, and/or telephone of any upcoming consultation or tidying sessions that you book. Once Tanya starts working with you, she will take into account your preferred communication channels.

  • We use your home address to send you any materials required for your sessions and to arrive at your booked in-person sessions.

  • When Tanya visits any client’s home, her whereabouts and how long she is expected to be there are made known to another person through password protected communication channels, for her personal security.

  • We may send you Organised Joy marketing emails if you have opted in for them. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of the email. We share your contact information with Squarespace and Mailchimp, our email marketing providers, so they can send these emails on our behalf.

How does Organised Joy keep your data secure?

If you submit your personal data on a form on our website, it is sent to Tanya, the founder of Organised Joy, to her password protected email account. If you provide your personal data directly to Tanya via email or verbally, whether in-person or on the phone, she will store it in a password protected network.

Organised Joy will keep confidential all client information, both business and personal, except in exceptional and specific circumstances where we are obliged by law to disclose such information. Organised Joy will not sell, trade or otherwise pass on your data to third parties unless we provide you with advance notice and request your consent.

All personal data collected by Organised Joy will be stored in password protected networks and is only accessible by Tanya, who is required to keep the information confidential. If Tanya hires staff to join her at Organised Joy in the future, they will be eligible to gain access to these password protected networks in their role at Organised Joy. They will be required to keep all client information confidential. Passwords are used to prevent unauthorised access, use, destruction or disclosure of your personal information.

How long does Organised Joy keep your data for?

Organised Joy will store your personal data securely for seven years after we stop working together, as required by our industry specific insurance policy. At this point, we will review and securely erase personal data when it is no longer needed. Organised Joy has processes in place to comply with individuals’ requests to amend, correct or delete their personal information. See the next section pertaining to your rights.

What are your rights in relation to personal data?

You have the right to obtain a copy of your personal data at any time. Please contact Tanya at Organised Joy via email, telephone or in person to do so. 

You have the right to amend, correct or complete your personal data at any time. You may have a right to request restrictions on how Organised Joy uses your data and/or to delete your data. 

You are entitled to raise with Tanya at Organised Joy any concerns about how we deal with your personal data, and if then necessary, to raise your concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
