Please read the below carefully because by booking your session, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
Payment policy
Payment is to be made upon request and your place will only be confirmed upon receipt. For an individual session or ‘double the fun’ package, 100% of the fee must be paid upfront to secure the booking. For longer packages, 50% of the package fee must be paid upfront to secure the booking of the first session and the discounted package price; the remaining 50% is to be paid before the third session.
Cancellation policy
It’s essential that when you book you are serious about attending your session as a commitment to yourself and to Tanya. Organised Joy appreciates that you may need to reschedule or cancel a session and operate a strict and transparent cancellation policy.
Rescheduling: If you reschedule a session more than 48 hours before the start time, there is no fee. If you reschedule less than 48 hours before, you will be charged 50% of the session price. If you reschedule less than 24 hours before, you will be charged 100% of the session price. If you are on a package, the price of a session is calculated using the pro-rata’d hourly rate of the package multiplied by the number of hours booked for the session that is to be rescheduled. The rescheduled session must be completed within 2 months of the original session date. For rescheduling due to COVID, please see the below section on COVID protocols.
Cancellation and refunds: If you cancel without looking to reschedule to another time the following refund policy applies. If you cancel an individual session more than 48 hours before the start time, you will be refunded 50% of the price you paid for it. If you cancel an individual session less than 48 hours before the start of the session, you will not receive a refund. If you wish to cancel your package before the first booked session has taken place, the cancellation policy will be applied as if you had booked a full price individual session: you will be billed 50% of the full price of an individual session (if more than 48 hours notice) or 100% of the full price of an individual session (if less than 48 hours notice) and you will be refunded the balance of what you have paid. If you wish to cancel your package after the first session and do not wish to proceed with the remaining session(s), you will be billed for 100% of the full price of an individual session plus up to 50% of another full price individual session at Organised Joy’s discretion; you will be refunded the balance (if any) of what you have paid.
If you cancel or reschedule a session that has already been rescheduled once, you are not eligible for a refund.
COVID protocols
*Updated 14th Dec 2021* Organised Joy follows government guidelines. Tanya is double vaccinated and had her booster jab in December 2021. Whilst in-home services are permitted, Tanya pledges to take the following precautions: regular lateral flow tests, washing/sterilising hands on arrival, wearing a mask for the duration of session upon discussion with client. Please inform us ASAP if you or your household experience COVID symptoms or test positive so we can manage the diary. Tanya pledges to do the same and errs on the side of caution. In the case of a positive COVID test for either party, rescheduling a session will not incur a charge. In the (hopefully hypothetical) event of a lockdown where home visits are no longer permitted in London, we can pause packages til we are able to resume, refund the unused remainder of packages (charging full price for any sessions already provided) or conduct sessions virtually depending on client preference.
Session timing and breaks
The timing and length of a session - typically five hours - is pre-agreed between you and Tanya. As the end of your session approaches, Tanya will remind you of this and wrap up the session. If you and Tanya both would like to extend the session and are available to do so, extra time will be charged at the hourly rate as specified in Services.
If a session spans a meal time, a 30 minute meal break will not be counted within the session time. For example, a five hour individual session could span 09:30 to 15:00 with a lunch break 12.30-13.00. Timings are agreed between you and Tanya, either in advance or at the start of the session. It is important to maintain your energy levels and work at the pace that you are comfortable with so additional breaks are taken as you require and are counted within the session time.
Insurance
Organised Joy will treat your home and your possessions with care and respect. In the case of any direct or consequential loss or damage of your possessions, Organised Joy cannot be held liable. Organised Joy holds Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance. It is your responsibility to ensure you have appropriate insurance for your possessions.
Third party products and services
Organised Joy may provide you with recommendations and/or website links to additional products and services from third parties. Examples include storage products and recycling services. Organised Joy cannot be held liable or responsible for any direct or consequential loss or damage resulting from the products and services it recommends.
Removal of discarded items
Organised Joy cannot be held liable or responsible for any items that are discarded. Whilst Organised Joy can provide recommendations on where to sell, recycle, donate and dispose your items, Organised Joy is unable to provide valuations or remove discarded items from your home.
Working conditions
Because one-to-one tidying sessions require your concentration, it is strongly recommended that young children, family members, pets and other sources of distraction are not present during sessions. If you are unsure whether something or someone will be a distraction for you, please discuss this with us ahead of your session.
If Organised Joy considers the working area to be inaccessible or unsafe, Organised Joy receives the right to cancel the session without refund.
Travel charges
Locations outside London zones 1 - 3 may incur additional travel charges. Any additional travel fees will be agreed upon in advance of the session.
Photography and testimonials
Organised Joy takes before and after photographs to demonstrate and celebrate the client’s journey. Photography or videography from client sessions will not be shared on Organised Joy’s website or social media without a client’s prior and express consent.
Any testimonials or feedback that clients provide will not be shared on Organised Joy’s website or social media without the client’s prior and express consent.
Confidentiality
Organised Joy will keep confidential all client information, both business and personal, except in exceptional and specific circumstances where we are obliged by law to disclose such information. Irrespective of who instructs us or pays for our services, Organised Joy will always maintain the confidentiality of our client; that is the person with whom we are working and who is receiving the benefit of our services and professional help.
Organised Joy will store all client information securely and will only use your personal details in connection with the services that we provide you.
